FAQs
Yes. We work with businesses of all sizes. For those starting out, we have a consulting rate for hourly discussions, along with a free 30-minute consultation to see if we’re the right fit. For larger businesses, we work on either a project basis or hourly rate depending on the needs of your business and services provided (consulting, fractional CMO, resource procurement, etc.).
You may not. We work alongside your existing marketing department to help them do more. Most marketing teams are pulled in lots of directions and have budgets that may not allow them to achieve all of the business’s goals for the year or future. They spend so much time treading water — keeping the sales going or just keeping up — which makes it hard to plan for the future, innovate or test new features and web pages, or implement new technology.
Because we are not an agency, we work alongside your existing team and resources to help improve what they are already doing. Our team often does an audit of your paid media or SEO accounts to provide insight to both the CEO and senior leadership, as well as the marketing team or agency, to facilitate conversations about how to improve or where to invest more. This is never confrontational or a discussion that will lead to “firing.” Most of the time, teams need a liaison to help communicate their frustrations or recommendations. We help bridge that gap and move everyone forward.
We work on an hourly or project basis. Our goal is to work with you and your team in a way that makes sense. During a consultation, we can determine the best pricing structure for your business and needs. We work to be a company with integrity. We will never recommend a plan, service, or business that we would not use ourselves or recommend to a family member. We will never let money or other incentives drive what we recommend for a client. If we have a conflict of interest, it will be expressed up front.
We work with all types of business, but we have the most success with businesses who have a little experience in digital marketing. Our expertise is not in traditional media or print/graphic design.
Types of businesses: B2B, B2C, lead generation (education, finance), eCommerce (new products, shopify), startups to mid-size businesses, business trying to expand offerings
Example types of marketing: Paid search consulting (PPC), Search engine optimization (SEO), growth marketing, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, social media (paid and organic), strategy planning, new market growth, strategies for new businesses, A/B testing, future planning, marketing innovation and growth, email marketing, marketing automation, marketing operations, market research and pressure testing
Agencies may have trouble keeping their clients for a variety of reasons. Your clients are being continually solicited by agencies and experts all the time, whispering in their ear that you are not doing what’s in their best interest or they could be doing better. We are a third party you can offer your clients to bring transparency and innovation to their business. We have worked with agencies to help determine how they can improve their offerings to clients and create a better, more beneficial relationship — so clients know you are challenging your team to be its best.
